Gold Coast psychedelic-popsters EchoWave will bring their timeless blend of technicolour melodies to Mo’s Desert Clubhouse tonight.
Their music is all about pretty harmonies and blissful synths.
Since the release of their new single, “Sad Dream”, EchoWave has been itching to reveal five new tracks.
A project by Sam Croaker, EchoWave offers an enthralling live show, which is set to tour the Australian eastern coastline.
A stead diet of power-pop for EchoWave
Brought up on steady diet of the power-pop movement from half a century ago, Sam’s music morphs this style into the 21st century.
Offering a 60s Beatles-esque sound, the music pushes into 70s synth-pop.
Self-titled debut EP, “EchoWave”, released in 2017, is a beautiful six-track record, where Sam flexes his songwriting skills.
Shortly after its release, Sam established a live band to help deliver the songs.
But it’s his “Fantasyland” show in 2019, at Tym Guitars in Fortitude Valley, where people began to take notice. Patrons stood shoulder to shoulder, spilling onto Winn Street, just to catch a glimpse of Sam’s new show.
During the Covid-19 lockdown, he pushed deeper into his music, producing fan-favourite, “I Don’t Mind”.
The track proves Sam is a serious music maker, with a theme of acceptance, tainted with dreamy guitar riffs. It is this song that has audiences singing along by the first chorus.
EchoWave brings exciting new sounds to Mo’s Desert Clubhouse tonight from 7pm. Guests: Dream Frankie Dream, Tomorrow’s Forecast, and Brave Daisy.
Mo’s Desert Clubhouse is at 6/36 Central Drive, Burleigh Heads, Gold Coast. Tickets and more information: https://www.mosdesertclubhouse.com.
