The Rubens are on the road as part of a 14-date summer tour stopping at Kings Beach Tavern at Caloundra on January 4 and Miami Marketta, on the Gold Coast, on January 5.
The award-winning pop-rock group are promoting their new single, “Good Mood”.
And they are headlining their hometown festival, ValleyWays, in Camden on February 17, with Grinspoon, Ball Park Music, Ruby Fields, Coterie, and Srirachi.
Supporting their Good Mood Tour, at Caloundra and Miami, will be Kiwi-turned-Sunny-Coast band Day We Ran.
Debut and self-titled album, The Rubens, gained domestic success reaching number three on the ARIA charts and even nabbed a Triple J Album of the Year Award.
“Pets and Drugs” is the band’s latest album since its 2021 number-one, ARIA-charting fourth album, 0202. The album was nominated for the prestigious Australian Music Prize (AMP). And tracks “Live In Life” and “Masterpiece” were certified four-times platinum and platinum, respectively, in Australia.
The Rubens comprises of three brothers, Zaac, Sam and Elliott Margin. With their friends Scott Baldwin and William Zeglis, the five-piece outfit offer soft-synth sounds, and gentle piano and vocals. It’s all wrapped up with a relaxed DJ backing, completing their edgy, summertime-vibe sounds.
The Rubens will be in Caloundra at Kings Beach Tavern on January 4. And at Miami Marketta, 23 Hillcrest Parade, Miami, Gold Coast on January 5.
