Eumundi: He’s been compared to Ben Harper and Matt Corby with his honest, poetic songwriting and exploration of relationships, love, death, and other harsh life realities.
He’s another Byron Bay busking treasure who rose from the streets to the stars, and Kyle Lionhart is promising Eumundi an evening of more wholesome and captivating story-telling and sing-alongs.
“Each show will be a beautiful night of honest reflection on life as we live it, a deep intimate insight into my writing, and some good old sing-alongs.” Kyle said.
This soul and folk busking wonder first self-released his debut EP, Keep In Mind, in 2015 and sold more than 10,000.
And it wasn’t long before Kyle’s music and reputation spread globally, with record labels quickly taking notice, all thanks to a loyal following of enthusiastic tourists.
Kyle’s 2016 second EP, Eleven and Two, generated more than 10 million streams, leading to a sold-out national and European tour with our Sunny Coast homeboy, Xavier Rudd.
Kyle’s music has amassed more than 60 million streams to date and he has enjoyed sold-out headlined shows across Australia, playing festivals such as Splendour In The Grass and Bluesfest, and joining artists such as Foy Vance and Niall Horan.
Supporting Kyle in Eumundi is singer-songwriter Malia Stirling, with influences such as Missy Higgins, Joni Mitchell and Kate-Miller Heidke.
Malia gives emotive performances of original music and beloved Australian songs.
Following the release of her debut music video Kaleidoscope earlier this year, Malia has continued to release dynamic originals including Rabbit Hole and While the World Moves On.
