Longtime champion of Sunshine Coast live original music and community concert events, Jay Bishoff, will host an ‘originals’ and ‘covers’ event, with feature act, The Lyrical, on December 19.
Acoustic roots and hip-hop sensation, The Lyrical, will join Jay as he brings back his successful “Full Cov-Orig” events, this time at Noosa Junction’s new burger and dessert joint, New York Minute.
“Together with Nathan Sorensen, I am excited to announce this next-level emergence of our authentic, exhilarating Noosa event that we first ran at Hastings Street, on it’s maiden voyage earlier this year,” Jay said.
“We are thrilled to welcome The Lyrical as our feature act, kicking out a full set of awesomeness.”
Jay, who created the famous, now-defunct “Peregian Originals” and The J’s “Sound Feast” concerts, has hosted a lively Thursday open mic night at Mr Drifter for the past four years.
He said the quick-paced “Full Cov-Orig” had nothing to do with any forgotten flu, but instead referred to unique performances of ‘covers’ and ‘originals’, setting the stage for talented singer-songwriters to deliver short and polished, two-song performances.
“We’ll see our carefully-chosen cast of singer/songwriters perform a stunning, refreshing version of a popular cover song, then hit us with a riveting original composition, performed at a brand new venue, with concert event presentation,” he said.
“Let’s take a fresh step together, towards establishing a more authentic, inspiring and enjoyable Noosa live music scene.”
There are still a few performance slots left.
