New $32m pub welcomes jobs for musicians

October 31, 20232 min read

Bli Bli: Sunshine Coast music lovers are set to benefit from the super-sleek, three-story colossal pub which has just landed on Bli Bli’s doorstep.

The Coast’s latest monster pub development is a Mediterranean-inspired venue with a rooftop terrace and lush tropical garden-style events space.

The pub is the brainchild of Scott Armstrong and Richard Deery, known for several major hospitality re-dos in South-East Queensland, such as Baringa TavernParklands TavernBrightwater Hotel, and Story Bridge Hotel.

Within the bistro, high ceilings, terracotta and sage hues, and hand-printed Australian bush wallpaper create an inviting setting, adjoining the rooftop terrace.

Design elements evoke the Australian bush and Mediterranean charm, highlighted by an impressive four-meter pink blossom tree next to a private dining area, perfect for those special occasions.

The hotel will have an eclectic style menu, curated by group executive chef Damien Grimes and draw inspiration from the diversity of Australian flavours using high-quality ingredients sourced from local suppliers. With a focus on lighter, vegetable-forward options to suit the modern Australian life, the kitchen’s centrepiece will be a live-fire grill.

Scott Armstrong said the new hotel was something that they could be proud of delivering to the Sunshine Coast community.

“We are thrilled to elevate the offering for Bli Bli, invigorating the social and entertainment landscape with a truly community focused pub. The residents here have been waiting for this venue and we are excited to announce that the launch is now just around the corner,” Armstrong said.

“As locals ourselves, we have taken extra care to ensure that this venue provides the best possible experience in terms of food, service and entertainment.  We’re also excited to offer new employment opportunities for people in the area and bring additional visitation from the Brisbane drive market and holidaymakers in Noosa,” he said.

The hotel will also feature a kids’ play area adjacent to the bistro, vibrant sports bar, and gaming lounge with bar.

Live music offered at the pub is expected to bring more opportunities to local musicians.
