September 11, 20232 min read

Boondall: English new-wave 80s icons Culture Club will hit Brisbane’s Entertainment Centre this Thursday, September 14, for an unforgettable experience celebrating 40 years of music.

These global icons with much-loved lead vocalist, Boy George (pictured), are touring Australia for their Greatest Hits Tour, promising a night of non-stop, show-stopping classics.

Punters can expect generation-defining favourites: “Do You Really Want to Hurt Me”; the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s, “Time (Clock of the Heart)”; and evergreen-classics such as “Karma Chameleon” and “I’ll Tumble for Ya”.

Culture Club is considered one of the most influential groups of the 80s, and are Grammy-Award winning career juggernauts, with more than 50 million albums sold worldwide.

Their reggae-influenced tracks, with all the 80s pizzaz, colour and flair, have reached chart-topping spots, with number one singles in more than a dozen countries, and multi-platinum album sales globally.

Culture Club is also the first music group since The Beatles to have three top 10 hits in the US from a debut album.

Joining the celebration will be special guests Berlin, with their pioneering synth-electro pop, who gave the world the unforgettable, intimate, and strikingly beautiful love song, “Take My Breath Away”, which solidified their place in American pop-culture.

Berlin will perform all their favourite anthems and classics from their entire career including “Metro”, “Dancing in Berlin”, “Sex (I’m A)”, “No More Words”, and of course US movie Top Gun’s mega-smash hit, “Take My Breath Away”.

Don’t miss this charismatic mix of pop and soul performances, as well as dance-inducing classic hits.

Culture Club and Berlin perform at Boondall’s Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Thursday, September 14. Tickets are still available at: https://www.brisent.com.au/culture-club.
