Pretty Moi’s South-East Queensland takeover

November 9, 20232 min read

West End, Burleigh Heads and Murwillumbah: Melbourne outfit Pretty Moi have a new single out and it’s blowing up radio stations across the country.

To celebrate new track, “Real Love”, they’ve announced a mini tour, which includes a pink-themed breast cancer fundraiser and a pink half pipe.

Pretty Moi perform at West End’s Bearded Lady on December 1, Impy Yard Festival, Murwillumbah, on December 2, and Mo’s Desert Clubhouse, Burleigh Heads, on December 3.

Following the previous successes of songs “Sober” and “Coast to Coast”, Pretty Moi continues to capture audiences with their mesmerising melodies, introspective lyrics, and infectious rhythms.

Their ability to resonate with both listeners and reviewers has firmly established them as a rising force in the music industry.

“Real Love” was penned by founding member Ruben Vasconez in late 2020, during the pandemic.

What began as an inside joke gradually evolved into an exploratory project, despite deviating from the band’s previous psychedelic direction.

The goal was to infuse the song with a unifying quality and vintage charm, striking a balance between lightheartedness and nostalgic depth.

Drawing inspiration from the soul and pop music of the 60s and 70s, the song aims to evoke a profound sense of nostalgia with its soulful soundscapes.

The Impy Yard Festival:

A good old-fashioned afternoon yard party filled with live bands, craft beers, truck nosh and a pink halfpipe will provide the background for the Impy Yard Festival.

In collaboration with Murwillumbah’s first-ever brewery, Spangled Drongo Brewing, the pink party supports, Breast Cancer Awareness with the McGrath Foundation.
