Eat Street Northshore celebrates 10th birthday

November 10, 20232 min read

It‘s the birthplace of the cronut (a croissant-doughnut hybrid) and this weekend Eat Street Northshore is celebrating a decade of entertaining Brisbane.

This simple concept, which paved the way for many to come, is a shipping-container-foodie’s-wonderland.

Complete with live music and entertainment, the family-friendly north-side market has served up smiles to thousands of hungry punters.

Co-owner Jacki MacDonald, of Hey, Hey It’s Saturday fame, says Eat Street Northshore has been a “wonderful adventure”.

“We have had 10 years of delicious food, live music, fairy lights and the best sunsets on the river in Brisbane,” Jacki says.

“We love live music and present around 19 different acts every weekend. So visitors to Eat Street will always see happy entertainers on all the different stages.”

This weekend, punters can enjoy performances from Pink Matter, Soul Cutz (pictured), Slips & the FW’s and The Unbreakables.

“We will continue to do our best to help the fabulous chefs of Eat Street present wonderful food from around the world.

“We have dancing and music and singing, and fire twirling. We’ve got fireworks, the JetSki boys on the river, it’s going be fantastic.

“And the weather is perfect. How good!”

Put a soundtrack to your dining experience from Eat Street’s MainDeck Stage. It features top local and touring bands, as well as regular headline shows.

The OpenSky Theatre favours more edgy fun-filled live entertainment and big-screen entertainment. And the LaneWay Cabaret hosts breezy jazz bands and more intimate style entertainment.

Solo performers are positioned throughout Eat Street, so you’re never too far from live music or entertainment. Bliss!
