Blues legend Ash Grunwald is coming to The Station on the Sunshine Coast

September 7, 20242 min read

Ash Grunwald will bring his legendary blues to the Sunshine Coast’s newest live music venue The Station on September 13.

He will be supported by local singer-songwriter Andrea Kirwin (pictured).

Renowned for his electrifying live shows, Ash brings a high-energy, vibrant live show with stacks of guitars and foot-stomping blues.

Part-troubadour-part-storyteller, Ash has inspired a generation to take up van life and “surf by day, jam by night”.

He often tours with his family, posting about his adventures on social media.

And to flex the work/life balance, Ash has been selling out shows across the country.

Cementing his status as one of the most entertaining musicians, Ash has worked with the “who’s who of Australian music”.

He has collaborated with Josh Teskey, Kasey Chambers, and Scott and Andy from The Living End.

And he has shared the stage with James Brown, The Black Keys, Jack Johnson, Xavier Rudd and Keith Urban.

In his career, Ash has put out 12 albums (six in the Australian Top 50), with five ARIA and four AIR Award Nominations.

He also snagged two APRA Awards and a gong for Best International Act at the LA Music Critic Awards.

Ash’s album “Push The Blues Away” with Josh Teskey hit number eight on the ARIA charts.

He has played sold-out festivals across Europe, Japan, and North America, as-well as 10 spots at the beloved Bluesfest.

Andrea Kirwin is a local’s favourite and Queen of the Coast’s music scene.

The Australian/Fijian singer-songwriter is also an MC, event curator, and artistic programmer.

She is the founder and director of Peace Run Records and Agency, an independent record label which runs boutique events.
