Classic Australian rock band, The Southern River Band (main picture), will be at Kings Beach Tavern, following massive international success with new song, “Stan Qualen”, which has amassed millions of views worldwide. Tickets: here.

Floodlights bring their raw and intimate show to The Brewery at The Imperial Hotel Eumundi. Blending powerful outbursts and marching rhythms, with evocative lyricism, their music explores themes of personal turbulence, national identity, and the Australian landscape as a form of escapism. Gig guide: Saturday, March 16

Maleny’s Best Western Country Music Bash is an all-ages event, bringing country music, great food, and bull riding to Maleny. Entertainment from Shanleigh Rose, Sam Bannink and Tennessee Lights. Maleny Apex will be running a bar from 3pm. Meet local entrants for the 2024 Maleny Show Girl. Come dressed in your “best western”. Tickets: here.

Gold Coast band Loose Goose brings their new song, “Cav Ave Kebab” to Solbar on Saturday. Cutting their teeth in the local scene with their unhinged live shows and chaotic charm, the boys from Burleigh are all about living it up, having a good time and not taking yourself too seriously. And it’s a free show!

Brisbane soul/bass artist Anthony Forrest (Kingfisha) has released his debut solo album. To celebrate he’s invited some of his Sunny Coast faves to join him for a night of music and vibes at The Presynct, Nambour. Asher Beau (Bearfoot), and DJ Shadefoot (Kingfisha) will also be there. Local lads Owls of Neptune, known for their genre-blending rock, are also stopping at Solbar for their Soldier On tour. They will be joined by effervescent funsters Favourite Kid (formerly Aspy Jones Trio) and the smooth grooves of The Remains of Mr ThompsonTickets: here.

Gear up for Pearl Jam‘s upcoming national tour with a tribute show, The Pearl Jam Experience, at Kings Beach Tavern. Australia’s leading tribute to the iconic Seattle legends returns to deliver a high-energy performance which pays tribute to one of the most prominent and influential bands of the 90s. The electrifying show RESPECT – showcasing Aretha Franklin’s courageous life of love, tragedy and triumph – will be at Caloundra’s The Events Centre tonight. The show journeys her greatest hits over the last 50 years. Tickets: here.

Norton Music Factory brings Bronwyn Street Blues Vol 7 to Caloundra, featuring The Mason Rock Band, Mitch King, Melanie & The Madmen, Vidaphunk, and Two Tears in a Bucket. Note: Mitch King has replaced Lecia Louise. Tickets: here.

Villa Noosa Hotel welcomes multi-platinum, ARIA-nominated, rap scallywag, Chillinit, who has embarked on his first ever regional tour of Australia. The 420 Oz Crawl tour is hitting bushes, beaches and every pub, club, and tavern in between. The 420 kingpin serve up a new mixtape, “420DNA”, including the stomping viral hit, “Boys Light Up”. Joining forces with the annual Noosa Festival of Surfing, BrewFest will showcase Australia’s best brewers and distillers, while entertaining the masses with seriously good tunes from Great Gable, Goons of Doom and Pricey. Gig guide: Sunday, March 17

Hailing from the small rural town of Moree, Kicked-In Bickie Tin will perform a free gig at Solbar to round out your weekend. The tight-knit, three-piece outfit craft sounds that lands somewhere in-between Skegss, Beddy Rays, and Violent Soho.

Legendary Australian rock singer/songwriter Richard Clapton will be at The Station, Birtinya, from 3pm. In a career that spans more than 40 years, Richard hasn’t passed through life in a luxurious rock star bubble. He has battled and succeeded at every step of the way. And yet he is one of the world’s most cherished singer/songwriters with legions of fans. Tickets: here.

Gig guide: Tuesday, March 19

Much loved Irish troubadour Luka Bloom brings his mastery of the concert stage to a special event at Mooloolaba Music. Luka’s gifted electro-acoustic guitar playing guarantees an impassioned live performance of his original, poetic and melodic songs. Drinks and nibbles will be available to purchase. Tickets: here.
