Sunshine Coast live music venues are cancelling several shows this weekend ahead of Cyclone Alfred. The Category 2 cyclone is expected to cross the South-East Queensland mainland on Thursday. Cbus Super Stadium has announced US punk giants Green Day have cancelled their Gold Coast show tomorrow with Cyclone Alfred threatening the Coast. The Bureau of Meteorology says Cyclone Alfred will cross South-East Queensland on Thursday night. Green Day posted a note to their fans on Facebook on Tuesday, 5pm (EST), saying they are “bummed”.
