ICEHOUSE to play Man of Colours in full on 40th anniversary tour

ICEHOUSE will bring the 40th anniversary of Man of Colours to Brisbane in 2027, with the band set to perform the landmark album in full for the first time.

The Australian rock veterans will play Brisbane Entertainment Centre on Saturday, June 12, as part of their first headline indoor concert tour in more than 20 years.

The run marks four decades since Man of Colours, the 1987 album that delivered some of ICEHOUSE’s best-known songs, including “Crazy”, “Electric Blue”, “My Obsession”, “Nothing Too Serious” and the title track.

For the anniversary shows, ICEHOUSE will perform every song from Man of Colours, including tracks the band says it has never played live before.

Frontman Iva Davies said the indoor format would also allow the band to build a larger set around the album.

“We’ve never played some of the songs from the album so this tour is going to include some firsts for us as well as our fans,” Davies said.

“Compared to the big outdoor shows we’ve mainly been playing over the past 15 years, indoors means we get to play more songs and create an even bigger show for us all.”

The set will also draw from ICEHOUSE’s wider catalogue, including “Great Southern Land”, “Hey Little Girl”, “No Promises”, “Don’t Believe Anymore”, “Love In Motion” and “We Can Get Together”.

Man of Colours was released on September 21, 1987 and spent 11 weeks at No.1 on the Australian chart. It went on to sell more than one million copies and won ARIA Awards for Album of the Year and Highest Selling Album.
