In pictures: Sons of the East @ Kings Beach Tavern, 9/5/26

May 12, 20261 min read

Sons of the East brought their warm, road-tested indie-folk sound to Kings Beach Tavern on Saturday night, filling the beachside Caloundra room with big harmonies, loose singalong moments and the easy coastal energy they do so well.

The Sydney trio have built a loyal following with their songs “Into The Sun”, “California” and “Come Away”, blending folk, roots and upbeat, festival-ready hooks. At Kings Beach Tavern, it landed exactly where it should: close, communal and full of people singing back.

Felipe Baldomir joined the night as special guest.

Here’s the night in pictures, captured by Lewis Venz.
