Brisbane has officially entered the Netherworld, with Beetlejuice The Musical now playing at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
The stage production opened at QPAC on Friday night and will remain in Brisbane until Sunday, August 2, 2026.
Based on Tim Burton’s 1988 film, the musical follows strange teenager Lydia Deetz, whose life changes when she meets a recently deceased couple and a chaotic demon with a talent for trouble.
The production combines comedy, spectacle and a rock-driven score, bringing the cult film’s supernatural world to the stage.
