Surf-punk rockstars Goons of Doom (main picture) will be the perfect accompaniment to The Big Weekend when they headline the Sunshine Coast’s favourite homegrown music festival at Blackflag Brewing on July 12.
A project by pro-surfer, artist and filmmaker Ozzie Wright, the boys from Sydney have spent their lives in the ocean, pursuing those original 70s, rebellious, surf-spirit vibes.
They join Pricey, The Beefs, Drop Legs, Dellacoma, Whitt’s End and The Lipsticks, for another head-banging good time, when The Big Weekend returns for its fourth year.
The event, which was headlined by The Bennies last year, brings another BIG day of live music, good vibes, and community spirit to Coolum’s industrial estate.
As always, the lads behind the event are continuing the trend to support homegrown talent, while celebrating the best of Australian music, in a unique DIY-setting thatβs become a Coast staple.
There will be free buses from Blackflag to Coolum Beach after the show so you can rock out stress-free.
This event sold out last year and capacity is limited β so donβt snooze on this one!
