Iconic Australian rock band Hoodoo Gurus will join the grand opening of Team Musicare Sunshine Coast at The Station on Friday.
In a world-first, the initiative is aimed at transforming lives through inclusivity, employment, and community engagement.
The all-day grand opening kicks off at 10am, with Hoodoo Gurus to perform later that evening.
Team Musicare Founder and Director Dan Nebe says the event celebrates “a powerful partnership between The Station and Team Musicare.
Dan says the program “promises to bring lasting change”.
“The creative energy on the Sunshine Coast is infectious,” he says.
“This initiative will help the region become the cultural capital of Queensland. This isn’t just a music program—it’s a movement that unites creativity, industry, and community to change lives.”

The action-packed day will include workshops, jam sessions, a silent disco, and drum circles, culminating in the official ribbon-cutting ceremony from 2:45pm-3.45pm.
Joining Hoodoo Gurus is all-star lineup, including Tom Busby (Busby Marou), Diana Anaid, Bob Spencer (Skyhooks, Angels, Rose Tattoo), Natalie Gauci (Australian Idol winner), and more.

“We believe in creating second chances,” Dan says.
“By working closely with government agencies and NGOs, we aim to offer these young people a path to a brighter future, equipping them with the tools to succeed in life and their careers.”
The initiative connects participants to training in creative industries while addressing broader issues such as social isolation, skill development, and employability.
