New Zealand arrival Ino makes Peregian Beach Hotel debut

July 4, 20265 min read

New Zealand-born singer and loop performer Ino will make his Peregian Beach Hotel debut on July 31 after recently relocating to the Sunshine Coast.

A familiar performer across the Northern Rivers live music circuit is preparing to make his first appearance at Peregian Beach Hotel.

Ino, also known as Ino Pio, will play the Peregian Beach venue on July 31 from 5.30pm as part of its July live music program.

The New Zealand-born musician has spent more than a decade performing across venues in and around Byron Bay and Ballina, building a live show around soulful vocals, acoustic guitar and looping.

His repertoire moves between R&B, soul, reggae, pop, rock and reworked classics, with sets able to shift from relaxed afternoon listening into something more dancefloor-ready.

Ino has performed as a solo one-man band, in duo form and with a full five-piece lineup.

His influences include John Mayer, Frank Ocean, Sticky Fingers, Allen Stone and Ocean Alley.

Peregian Beach Hotel’s Kylie Plunkett said Ino had recently moved from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast, and that she was looking forward to hearing him play his first show at the venue.

The booking gives local audiences an early chance to hear one of the region’s newest arrivals as he begins finding his place in the Sunshine Coast live music circuit.

Ino plays Peregian Beach Hotel on July 31 from 5.30pm. The show is part of the venue’s July program, which also includes JC & The Tree, Skillz, Isaiah Hing, Raw Ordio, Hayden Hack, Che Burns, Simon Meola and Anna & Jordan.
