Singer and loop performer Ino will make his Peregian Beach Hotel debut on July 31 after recently relocating to the Sunshine Coast.
A familiar name across the Northern Rivers circuit, the New Zealand-born artist has spent more than a decade playing venues around Byron Bay and Ballina.
Also known as Ino Pio, he builds his sets around soulful vocals, acoustic guitar and live looping, moving through R&B, soul, reggae, pop, rock and reworked classics.
The format can shift from relaxed afternoon listening to a fuller dancefloor sound, with performances ranging from solo shows to duo and five-piece lineups.
Ino’s influences include John Mayer, Frank Ocean, Sticky Fingers, Allen Stone and Ocean Alley.
Peregian Beach Hotel’s Kylie Plunkett said Ino had recently moved from Brisbane to the Sunshine Coast and she was looking forward to hearing him play his first show at the venue.
The booking gives local audiences an early chance to hear one of the region’s newest arrivals as he begins finding his place in the Sunshine Coast live music circuit.
Ino plays Peregian Beach Hotel on July 31 from 5.30pm. The show is part of the venue’s July program, which also includes JC & The Tree, Skillz, Isaiah Hing, Raw Ordio, Hayden Hack, Che Burns, Simon Meola and Anna & Jordan.
