Nimbin is turning its village into a three-day stage for grassroots music and arts this weekend, with the community-led Nimbin Fringe running from Friday 30 October to Sunday 1 November.
For a region where festivals and independent music are closely connected, the inaugural event puts local creative culture at the centre rather than relying on a single big touring headliner.

The festival’s published music lineup includes Hussy Hicks, Juman and the Soulcentrix, Jimmy Willing and the Real Gone Hick Ups, The Re-Mains, The Hoochers, Sky Eater and Human Dinosaur Machine. Leopard Zebra Tiger, Neil Junior, Shivam Rath, Ladi Abundance and other performers also feature across the program.
It’s not just gigs: organisers are programming comedy, dance, circus, film and visual arts alongside the music. The event is presented as a grassroots, community-led celebration of Nimbin and the wider Northern Rivers creative community.
