Where local music feels at home: Peregian Beach Hotel’s October lineup

October 18, 20262 min read

From childhood buskers to veteran performers and vinyl DJs, Peregian Beach Hotel’s October live music lineup runs through October 31.

For some Sunshine Coast musicians, Peregian Beach Hotel has been a place to grow. Singer-songwriter Sari Abbott, pictured above, first played there as a teenager. Venue representative Kylie Plunkett told YELO: “We’ve loved watching her growth.” Electronic outfit Raw Ordio has also played PBH, which hosts regular Vinyl Nights at il Porto. Those are past performances, not additions to this month’s remaining bill.

Who’s playing at Peregian Beach Hotel?

Sunday, October 18: Matilda & Jarrod. Matilda began busking at Eumundi Markets aged seven. Jarrod is a familiar figure in the Coast busking community and a supporter of young musicians.

Friday, October 23: Andrea Kirwin. Before making music her life, Kirwin left law school and travelled Australia’s east coast in a 1986 Nissan bus with fellow musicians.

Saturday, October 24: Simon Meola. The guitarist and singer has a repertoire of more than 600 songs and says he has played up to 5,000 live shows.

Sunday, October 25: Anna & Jordan. The folk duo combine violin and guitar, and have appeared at festivals including Woodford and Nannup.

Saturday, October 31: Karlos Dean. The Noosa DJ closes the month at il Porto’s Vinyl Night. He has also performed at Ze Pickle and Ole Noosa.

See YELO’s Peregian Beach Hotel venue page for upcoming shows, or browse the Sunshine Coast gig guide.
