Phil & The Blanks join free all-ages mini-fest at Tribe Clubhouse

April 29, 20262 min read

A free all-ages mini-fest will hit Tribe Clubhouse in Redcliffe on May 8, with Phil & The Blanks leading an eight-band alternative lineup.

Tribal Unity runs from 2.30pm to 10pm, bringing together Phil & The Blanks, Whitts End, The Bykes, One D Minus, Hissteria, Daylight Vandal, Burnout (Redline), and Funhouse.

The show is a thank-you to Tribe Clubhouse, the Redcliffe venue backing young bands, DIY energy and alternative music without putting a price tag on the door.

Free entry. All ages. Eight bands. No velvet rope. No glossy industry nonsense. Just a full afternoon and night of local noise in a room that actually wants people there.

The bill leans into punk, rock and alternative sounds, with a lineup built for people who prefer their music loud, local and a little bit rough around the edges.

It follows the recent Megalodon and Harlum gig, cementing Tribe Clubhouse as one of the grassroots rooms people are actually talking about.

At a time when smaller shows are carrying a lot of the weight in the local music scene, Tribe is stepping up in a way that feels practical, not performative. It is giving bands a stage, giving younger punters a way in, and giving alternative music somewhere it does not have to sand itself down.

The doors open early, the lineup runs hard, and nobody has to stand outside because they are too young, too broke or not connected enough.

For anyone chasing a Friday gig with guitars, sweat, noise and an actual pulse, this is the one.

Tribal Unity is at Tribe Clubhouse, 457 Oxley Avenue, Redcliffe, on Friday, May 8, from 2.30pm to 10pm.
