Che Burns is heading back to Blackflag Coolum this month for what’s being billed as his biggest live production yet on the Sunshine Coast.
The 2026 Sunshine Coast Music Awards (SCMA) winner will take over Blackflag’s flagship venue with his full band on September 19, following a run of sold-out shows and an official showcase appearance at BIGSOUND in Brisbane this month.
“We’re excited to have Che Burns playing again at Blackflag, this time for a bigger show at Coolum,” Blackflag Brand Marketing Manager Paul Hodgetts said.
Joining Che Burns on the night are Cora, Happy Valley and Cherry Nova, making it a particularly strong showcase of local talent.

Burns’ recent run also includes taking out Song of the Year for “Devil Like You” at the SCMAs, where the award was presented by Xavier Rudd.
Doors open at 7pm, with tickets starting from $17.85.
More happening at Blackflag this September
It’s part of a busy month across Blackflag’s two Sunshine Coast venues, with plenty happening at both Coolum and Mooloolaba.
At Mooloolaba, So Phresh kicks things off on Thursday, September 3, with Phil & The Blanks, DJ Miss L.C., Harlum and Uncle Steven, followed by Speira with Pity Vincent on Saturday, September 5.
Then on Friday, September 11, Lattes For MILFs hit the Mooloolaba stage with local favourites The Phosphenes and Tomohung for a free-entry show.
On the same night as Che Burns takes over Coolum, Mooloolaba will host Raise The Flag on Saturday, September 19, featuring Mike Webb, CDOTM – Kanzee, Mixus B2B Sevii and Kenno – Jeem. All of Blackflag Mooloolaba’s September music events listed above are free entry and 18+.
Coolum also has Doggo Day Out on Saturday, September 5 and a Father’s Day session on Sunday, September 6, with live music from midday to 3pm, food trucks, games and more.
