5 Things To See at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre in 2025

August 23, 20254 min read

Have you seen what’s on at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre lately?

Located right in the heart of Brisbane, QPAC is the city’s mecca for culture and creativity. Whether you’re into theatre, live music, dance, or even the circus, there’s plenty to see and do in 2025.

These 5 Things To See at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre are sure to sustain your creative juices in 2025.

1. The Lovers (musical)

Based on A Midsummer Night’s Dream by William Shakespeare, this electrifyingly original pop score is bursting with heart, humour, and more than a touch of magic.

For centuries, Oberon and Puck have been the ultimate matchmakers, crafting perfect love stories. But in a world where romance is a chaotic mix of swipes, situationships, and ghosting – Oberon worries that true love is becoming extinct. Just when all hope seems lost, four young lovers cross their path – ready for a night they’ll never forget.

When: Sept 13-October 5

Cost: $85-$139 (+BF)

Tickets: QPAC.com.au

2. Bernard Fanning (live music)

One of Australia’s most celebrated singer-songwriters Bernard Fanning will celebrate 20 years since the release of his critically acclaimed debut solo album, Tea & Sympathy.

Originally released on October 31, 2005, the album debuted at No. 1 on the ARIA Albums Chart, won three ARIA Awards, including Album of the Year, and earned Fanning APRA’s Songwriter of the Year Award in 2006. Featuring tracks like “Wish You Well”, “Songbird”, “Watch Over Me” and “Thrill is Gone”, the album established Fanning as a powerhouse solo artist alongside his success with Brisbane band Powderfinger.

When: October 31, 2025

Cost: $119 – $139 (+BF)

3. Wolf (circus and physical)

The world is going to the dogs, so be a wolf. This acrobatic thrilling ride brings a cast of 10 Circa artists to QPAC for the Australian premiere. Watch as they grasp, tear, climb, leap and balance with fierce abandon!

For Director Yaron Lifschitz, the wolf is a symbol of our untameable selves: liberating, anarchic and savage. In two contrasting acts, the wolves evolve from disruptive forces of chaos into a ferocious pack whose intense choreographies overflow with raw energy and astounding physicality.

When: November 12-15, 2025

Cost: $59-$69 (+BF)

Tickets: QPAC.com.au.
