SOUTHWAVE 2027 brings Flight Facilities, The Jungle Giants and Young Franco to Brisbane

Eight free, all-ages dance music events are coming to South Bank this summer, with international DJs and Brisbane artists sharing the bill.

Brisbane’s South Bank will host eight free music events between January 8 and February 14, 2027, as SOUTHWAVE returns to Rainforest Green with Flight Facilities, The Jungle Giants, Young Franco and Chaos in the CBD among the acts announced.

Presented by South Bank and The Tivoli Group, the outdoor series brings electronic music into a public space usually better known for its gardens and riverside walks. After attracting more than 20,000 attendees in its first season, SOUTHWAVE is back with a mix of house, disco, UK garage, live sets and local DJ collectives.

The Jungle Giants will play live on Saturday, January 23, alongside 2charm. Young Franco returns to his hometown on Friday, February 5, before Flight Facilities take over on Saturday, February 6 for an extended DJ set.

The opening weekend features UK selector ROSSI. on January 8 and New Zealand duo Chaos in the CBD on January 9. Aroop Roy heads up January 16, while the Brisbane-based Family Tree collective takes over the site on February 7. UK disco and house act Crazy P closes the series on Valentine’s Day, February 14.

The Tivoli Group’s curator and creative director Dave Sleswick says the city is suited to outdoor music.

“Southwave is about making the most of that – good music, great people and a setting that feels completely different from your usual dancefloor,” he says.

Free entry, but capacity limits apply

Every event is free and open to all ages. Registration is encouraged so organisers can share set times and weather updates, but it does not guarantee entry. Once the site reaches capacity, admission will operate on a one-out, one-in basis.

The full lineup, event dates and registration details are available at southwave.live.
