Cbus Super Stadium has announced US punk giants Green Day have cancelled their Gold Coast show tomorrow with Cyclone Alfred threatening the Coast.
The Bureau of Meteorology says Cyclone Alfred will cross South-East Queensland on Thursday night.
Green Day posted a note to their fans on Facebook on Tuesday, 5pm (EST), saying they are “bummed”.
It says: “Hey Australia, unfortunately due to circumstances out of our control, tomorrow’s Gold Coast show has been canceled.
“With Cyclone Alfred bringing some seriously nasty weather, it’s just not possible to go ahead safely. We know this is a huge disappointment, and we’re just as bummed as you are. Stay safe out there!”
