The Sunshine Coast Music Awards return next Sunday, June 7, bringing artists, industry workers, venues and music lovers together for one of the Coast’s biggest local music nights.
The 2026 awards will celebrate the people shaping the Sunshine Coast music scene, with 11 award categories, live performances, industry networking and a full evening of local music community energy.
Presented by the Sunshine Coast Music Industry Collective (SCMIC), the event was designed to recognise the artists, venues, music workers and creative professionals helping build the region’s music culture.
This year’s ceremony will be hosted by SCMIC chair Melissa O’Bryan, a local industry figure formerly of Solbar, and vice chair Sarah Howells, an ABC Sunshine Coast radio broadcaster.
Alongside the finalist celebrations, networking opportunities and live performances, attendees will also go into the draw to win a lucky door prize, a double pass to Woodford Folk Festival valued at $1500.
The 2026 awards are backed by platinum sponsors Team Musicare, Project Olympus, Sunshine Coast Council and Moshtix.
Live music on the awards stage
The live music lineup for the 2026 Sunshine Coast Music Awards includes Gubbi Gubbi Dance Troupe, Chris Cobb, Cora, The Phosphenes, 8 Ball Aitken and Buttermello.
The lineup brings together emerging voices, established names and local performers across the Sunshine Coast scene, giving the night its own live soundtrack alongside the award announcements.
What happens on the night
Gates open at 4pm, with guests invited to arrive, grab a drink, network and get photos before the formal program begins.
Live music in the courtyard starts from 5.15pm, before the main awards ceremony begins at 6pm. The ceremony will include winner announcements, speeches and live performances.
The awards are expected to wrap around 9pm, with time for mingling and drinks before the event closes at 10pm.

Single tickets, half-table packages and full-table packages are available, with VIP table bookings closing at 5pm on Monday.
VIP table packages include event entry, a two-course dinner, a two-hour drinks package, premium reserved seating and access to the pre-show networking and main event.
This year’s lucky door prize is also a major one, with ticket holders going in the draw to win a double season pass to Woodford Folk Festival.
