System Of A Down and Faith No More have officially sold out their Brisbane stadium show within a week of tickets going on general sale.

System Of A Down and Faith No More will take over Suncorp Stadium on Monday, February 1, with promoters confirming the Brisbane date had completely sold out by August 7.

The Melbourne show at Marvel Stadium has also sold out, leaving Sydney’s Accor Stadium as the only Australian date with tickets still available.

The tour marks System Of A Down’s first Australian headline run in more than a decade and brings together two bands that helped reshape alternative and heavy music across several generations.

System Of A Down return after more than a decade

System Of A Down have sold more than 42 million albums worldwide since emerging in the late 1990s. Their catalogue includes their self-titled debut album and the hugely successful Toxicity, with the band building a reputation for unpredictable and high-energy live shows.

The Australian dates follow a sold-out stadium run through Europe and the UK, which included multiple stadium shows in Paris, London and Warsaw.

Faith No More will join the band as special guests for all three Australian stadium dates. The influential Californian band became known for mixing alternative rock, metal, funk, punk and experimental music, with songs including “Epic” and “Midlife Crisis” becoming some of their best-known releases.

Brisbane and Melbourne officially sold out

The Brisbane sellout was confirmed on Friday, August 7, alongside news that the Melbourne date had also reached capacity.

Sydney is now the final Australian opportunity to see the two bands together, with that show scheduled for Accor Stadium on Friday, January 22.

The Melbourne concert follows at Marvel Stadium on Wednesday, January 27, before the tour finishes at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on Monday, February 1.
