Sunshine Coast indie-pop four-piece Betty Taylor have released new single Fall Right Back, as the Mudjimba band prepares to join The Dreggs as main support on their national tour.
The track arrived on August 28 through Hello Gardener/Community and leans into the pull of a relationship you know is probably bad news but keep returning to anyway.
Frontperson Sophie Patrick said the song captures the push-and-pull of a situationship where the red flags are obvious, but the attraction keeps winning out.
Fall Right Back was co-written with Graham Ritchie and Blake Malone, with longtime Betty Taylor collaborator Aidan Hogg brought in to co-produce and mix the track from his Los Angeles studio.
The release follows a big stretch for the Sunshine Coast band, including their first US shows and a main-stage appearance at BottleRock Festival in California alongside Lorde, sombr and Teddy Swims.
Betty Taylor have also spent the past few years touring across Australia, the UK, Europe, Ireland and the US, while building an audience well beyond their home town. Their debut EP and standalone single Sucker Punch have passed four million streams across editorial playlists, according to the band’s press material.

The new single is out now, with Betty Taylor also newly announced as main support for The Dreggs’ national tour.
