The Rubens, JET and Karnivool are heading to Coolum, The Big Weekend turns five, and Mooloolaba gets a free night of Sunshine Coast hip-hop.
Blackflag’s next run of shows gives Sunshine Coast music fans a choice between national touring bands, a homegrown rock festival and local hip-hop.
Four of the five dates below are at The Compound in Coolum. Big Bars takes place at Blackflag’s Mooloolaba taphouse — an important distinction before booking your ride.
The Rubens — Thursday, October 29

The Rubens bring their Group Therapy tour to the Coast with Selve supporting. Their sixth album arrives on October 16, with the band returning to a guitar-led sound recorded live in the room.

JET’s Rumblin’ Regional Revue lands in Coolum with Liquid Zoo. The band behind “Are You Gonna Be My Girl” and “Look What You’ve Done” brings its regional run to the brewery.
Big Bars — Saturday, November 7
Blackflag Mooloolaba · free entry · 18+
The local hip-hop pick in this run is Harlum, joined by Big Red Cap, Slurpy, Aeonmind and Biggie Deez. Big Bars puts Sunshine Coast artists at the centre of the bill, with no ticket purchase required.

The Big Weekend — Saturday, November 28

The Screaming Jets headline the fifth edition of The Big Weekend, alongside Beddy Rays, Pricey, Powerhuff, Drop Beers, Johnny & The C Sections and Whiplassh.
The festival brings established Australian rock acts and emerging artists together for a full day at The Compound.

Karnivool — Sunday, December 6

Karnivool close out this selection with their In Verses regional tour. The Perth progressive rock band is taking the album beyond the capital cities for its final shows of 2026.
