90s punk band Bodyjar will headline new Coolum rock show

September 24, 20241 min read

A Sunshine Coast brewery which hosted the sold-out The Big Weekend has announced a new festival in Coolum with 90s pop-punksters Bodyjar to headline.

Something Cool also brings a host of local acts including Fake News, Dad Fight, The Yeah Nahs and The Wolston Butchers to Blackflag Brewing on November 23.

At the height of their career Bodyjar co-headlined an Australian tour with US giants Pennywise and Blink-182.

They are best-known for their songs, “Hazy Shade of Winter” and “Not the Same”.

Bodyjar will bring fellow Melbourne rock group Antiskeptic with them, who will also perform.

The Big Weekend organisers, Priceless Records, sold 600 tickets to their festival on July 13, held at Blackflag.

They proved to wrong that the Sunshine Coast music industry is not dead by selling out, despite festivals shutting down across the country.

After their festival’s roaring success, Blackflag decided to throw their own.

This show will be even heavier, so prepare yourself hardcore punksters. And be sure to grab a ticket so you don’t miss out!

Tickets to Something Cool on November 23 in Coolum can be found here: https://events.humanitix.com/something-cool-festival.

Blackflag Brewing is at 10 Lomandra Place, Coolum Beach.
