Australian vocalist Greg Gould is paying tribute to Jesse Baird and Luke Davies in a new song that also aims to raise awareness of domestic violence.
The Sydney couple’s deaths became the focus of a high-profile criminal case that shocked Australia and drew widespread international attention.
“No More” leads Gould’s latest album “Strings Attached (Deluxe)”, out tomorrow, and features Kate DeAraugo, Adam Noviello and Kween Kong.
Co-written by Gould, Adam Noviello and Jack Hollander, the song arrives with a music video featuring Jesse’s mother, Helen Baird, whose appearance places grief, love and survival at the centre of the piece.
Moved by the song’s message, Helen contacted Gould to thank him for creating it. She later chose to take part in the video to honour her son and help raise awareness.
A song shaped by grief and remembrance

The music video also features survivors of domestic and sexual violence, including Gould, who has spoken publicly about his own experience of surviving sexual abuse.
“My hope is that this reaches people who need it, that it starts conversations,” Gould said.
“That it makes some noise around issues that are far too often not talked about yet so close to home for so many. And most of all, that it reminds survivors they are not alone.
“Being on set with Helen and the other survivors was incredibly powerful – there were many tears but also so much shared strength.”
“Strings Attached (Deluxe)” expands Gould’s 2024 ARIA chart-topping album with four new tracks, remixes and a wide list of collaborators from Australia and overseas.
Built around live strings directed by Ryan Youens, the album continues Gould’s focus on survival, hope and resilience while opening the project to a broader collaborative cast.
Guests on the record also include Grammy-winning Broadway performer Shoshana Bean, Morissette, Tania Doko, AJA, Willam and Ada Vox. The expanded edition includes the bonus solo tracks “Running” and “You Are Enough”, plus collaborations with Joan & The Giants.
Greg Gould will launch “Strings Attached (Deluxe)” on April 11 at Memo Music Hall in St Kilda, Melbourne.
