Grinspoon is coming to The Station on the Sunshine Coast

September 30, 20241 min read

Grinspoon will play at The Station on October 16 as part of their 45-date national tour, whatever, whenever, wherever’. Grab tickets to their show now before they sell out!

In 1995, a band from Lismore named Grinspoon submitted their debut single, “Sickfest” to Triple J.

The Aussie rockstars, who met at an open-stage night at their local pub, were entering a new talent competition in its first year.

Not only did they win the now-famous Unearthed, their song remained the youth radio station’s number-one-most-requested-song for several months.

Almost overnight, Grinspoon became kings of a new-wave of alternative music.

Debut album “Guide to Better Living” (1997) saw five singles rallying the airwaves, as the album went double platinum.

It remained in the ARIA Top 50 for 36 weeks, signalling an extraordinary musical coming of age for the band.

Grinspoon‘s career spans thousands of live shows and concerts, and six consecutive Top 10 album debuts and multi-platinum sales.

They became Triple J mainstays, with 17 songs polling Hottest 100 spots, earning them a place in the Hottest 100 of All Time.

Grinspoon also racked up the highest number of national Big Day Out Festivals.

The “whatever, whenever, wherever” tour coincides with their first album release in 12 years.

Catch Grinspoon at The Station on October 16. Tickets: https://www.moshtix.com.au/.
