The Gympie Music Muster has unveiled its final lineup for 2025 including returning favourites James Johnson (main picture), Casey Barnes and Taylor Moss.

Adding 41 artists to the 58 already announced, this year’s Muster is promising another unforgettable celebration of country, rock, and blues – from August 28-31.

Also on the bill is Canada’s Alli Walker and Dan Davidson, and homegrown stars Travis Collins, Hayley Jensen, The Bushwackers, and Zac & George.

James Johnson gave the performance of his life on the Optus Hill Stage last year, and he says he cannot wait to do it all over again.

“Being invited to come back and play on the hill again this year is such an honour,” he says.

“For me, the Gympie Music Muster represents everything I love about country music and the country community; it feels like a big family gathering.

“I love the fact I can bring my wife and two boys, and truly be a partof it with everyone there.

“This year I’m going to be taking things to anotherlevel and putting on a show that Gympie has never seen before!

“In a world that feels increasingly divided, my goal is to create a show that celebrates the heart of country music and unites us all.

“I can’t wait to see everyone out there singing with me.”

New Zealand native and singer-songwriter Kaylee Bell (pictured) is equally excited to be returning to the Amamoor State Forest for one of her favourite festivals.

“I am so, so excited to be coming back to the Gympie Muster,” she says.

“Gympie is one of my favourite festivals, and always has been, so we will see you guys on the hill in August.

“We are going to have a fun time.”

Canadian country artist Dan Davidson, another Muster favourite, is looking forward to returning after his 2023 appearance.

“Australia truly has become my country music home away from home,” he says.

“Nobody parties like the Aussies do!

“I can’t wait to get back to my second Muster, and my fourth trip to Australia in three years.

“It will be so great to see some of my Aussie artist friends, and hopefully a tonne of familiar faces that have seen my show before. See ya in August!”

Something at the Muster for everyone

Gympie Music Muster Program Director Bec Anderson highlighted the festival’s diverse offering this year.

“The Gympie Music Muster has always been about showcasing the best in country, rock, blues, and everything in between,” she says.

“With 41 more incredible artists joining the lineup, we’re bringing together a mix of legendary performers, exciting newcomers, and some international surprises.

“There’s something for every music lover at the Muster, and we can’t wait for fans to experience it all.”

A representation of Australia’s best talent

Gympie Music Muster CEO Greg Cavanagh reinforced the festival’s reputation as a premier Australian music event.

“The Muster is more than just a festival; it’s an institution in Australian country music,” he says.

“Each year, we strive to deliver an experience that is both world-class and deeply connected to the heart of the country music community.

“This year’s lineup reflects our commitment to presenting the best of Australian and international talent, and we’re proud to continue this legacy.”
