Horizon Festival returns to the Sunshine Coast from May 1 to 10 in 2026, with more than 35 events planned across 13 locations. The 10-day program also marks the festival’s 10th year.
Presented on Kabi Kabi and Jinibara Country, Horizon is the Sunshine Coast Council’s annual arts and cultural festival. The program spans live music, performance, visual art, community events and family-friendly experiences across the region.
For Sunshine Coast audiences, Horizon remains one of the region’s key arts calendar events. You’ll find performances mapping the bustling region’s beaches, town centres, venues and public spaces, giving the festival a broader regional feel than a single-site event.
This year’s program stretches across the Coast from Maroochydore to Nambour, with events also landing in Caloundra, Coolum Beach, Maleny, Mapleton, Mooloolaba, Sippy Downs, Tanawha and Warana. The program also reaches further this year, extending to Aura, Glass House Mountains and Montville.
A Program Highlighting Diversity and Shared Experiences

Festival organisers say Horizon is an arts and cultural festival exploring the intersections of art, people and place.
This year’s program highlights diverse voices, shared experiences and the power of belonging.
The official program is already live, with events listed by date and location through the Horizon website. Opening Night is scheduled for Friday, May 1, at Kings Beach in Caloundra.
