Eumundi singer/songwriter Katie Noonan is bringing her fresh take on US music legend Jeff Buckley’s “Grace” album to regional and metro towns across the country. Katie plays shows on the Sunshine Coast, Brisbane and Gold Coast next month.

Katie Noonan is packing out music venues across Australia as her highly sought-after Jeff Buckley show kicked off last week.
The 29-times ARIA award-nominee is celebrating the 30th anniversary of what she calls “music’s most notable album” with a 23-stop tour.
Katie will perform Buckley’s 1994 album in full, with shows at The Station, on the Sunshine Coast, on October 18 and HOTA, on the Gold Coast, on October 25.
The Sunshine Coast resident is set to play to a full house in Noosa at The J on October 24, with more sold-out shows in Perth, Geelong, Melbourne, and Sydney.
‘I’d never heard a voice that expressive, exploratory and exciting’
Speaking on the significance of the nostalgic album for many, Katie says: “I was 17 and never had I heard a sound world like this. Never had I heard a band that unique and never had I heard a voice that expressive, exploratory and exciting.
“This album is the single biggest influence on my musical journey and was an enormous inspiration for my debut album Polyserena and my 29 subsequent studio albums. I was lucky enough to see Jeff live in 1996 and it was honestly a transcendental experience and one of the greatest concerts I will ever see.
“His integrity, unique sound and achingly honest lyrics have inspired me so deeply. I am honoured to present this body of work with some of my favourite musicians and pay homage to a life changing album and a truly once in a lifetime artist.”
Katie takes Bellingen singer/songwriter Jack Carty on the road

Frontier Touring has announced Katie will be joined by Bellingen singer/songwriter Jack Carty (pictured via Facebook) on tour.
Jack, who offers dreamy, yet haunting indie-folk sounds, has co-written songs with Katie. He has also written for the likes of Josh Pyke, Dan Wilson, and The Once. Jack will perform at all Katie’s Queensland gigs, as well as in South Australia, Western Australia, ACT and New South Wales (except Albury).
Making, touring, and releasing original music since 2010, Jack has received a #1 independent album; a Top 40 album; and a loyal, grassroots following built on great songs and a powerful live show. He has toured extensively across Australia, The UK, North America, Europe, and New Zealand.
Critics and fans praise Katie’s adaptation of iconic album
With over 25 years in the music industry, Katie Noonan has proven herself as one of the most hardworking, versatile and prolific artists of her time.
Named as one of the greatest Australian singers of all time by the Herald Sun, Katie has produced 29 albums, with seven-times platinum record sales.
She first introduced her adaptation of the album to audiences at the Sydney Festival, selling out all five shows.
Katie has garnered praise from fans and critics alike, who say she respectfully pays homage to Buckley’s work through maintaining traditions of the tracks, while adding her own flair and tone.
“From the spacious falsetto vocalise of the opening of Mojo Pin over a gently rocking guitar, breaking out into the wild and edgy middle section, it was clear that this 70-minute show on the stage of the Wharf Theatre was going to be electrifying.” – Daily Telegraph
