US nu-metal band Linkin Park has announced a new album and world tour since the death of its frontman Chester Bennington.
The Grammy-winning band will perform shows in Los Angeles, New York, Hamburg, London, Seoul and Bogota.
Emily Armstrong, from alt-rock band Dead Sara, has joined the group as a co-vocalist.
She will share the singing duties with original band member Mike Shinoda.
Mike and two high-school friends, Rob Bourdon and Brad Delson, founded Linkin Park in California, in 1996.
Brad will also remain as lead guitarist, while producer Colin Brittain replaces Rob as drummer, as he exits the group.
Chester fronted Linkin Park since the band’s 2000 debut album, “Hybrid Theory”, until his death.
He died by suicide at the age of 41, in 2017, and the band has been on hiatus since.
The new lineup was announced during a live stream on Thursday (local time), with Mike saying “this is a very special day for us.”
It also includes DJ/turntablist Joe Hahn and bassist Dave “Phoenix” Farrell.
While Australia isn’t on the world tour schedule, Mike says Linkin Park will be “touring heavily” in 2025.
“From Zero” is the band’s eighth studio album and is out on November 15.
