Nambour is home to region’s hardcore music scene

August 4, 20242 min read

Six heavy-hitting hardcore bands from across Australia’s East Coast will take over The Presynct on August 30.

Toowoomba’s ‘Kings of the Mountain’, Deep Leech, is one of the country’s hardest bands and will headline the night.

Deep Leech has been carving a name for themselves in the underground scene, with their aggressive hardcore hits and attitudes.

In what will be a massacre of mayhem, this showcase of heavyweights will also feature Northern Rivers metalcore outfit, Vola Inertia, and some chunky hardcore bands from the Gold Coast – 617, Insect and Defiant Ground.

Another Toowoomba ring-in, Triple Lock, will perform.

Nambour band and event organisers, Rimmy Grasa, who will also feature on the night, say they’re stoked to see a flourishing, alternate scene.

Band member Riley Novello says a major goal of the show is to grow the scene and bring the community together.

“We welcome all alternate music lovers. The intimate venue will define live hardcore on a new level.”

The Presynct is an intimate, 100-cap live music venue in Nambour, with a Melbourne-style cocktail lounge (completed by wicked mockails thanks to Cherry), and is quickly becoming the capital for original live music on the Coast.

With owner Rusty leading the charge, the eclectic night spot draws a regular crowd, and hosts a wide range of music genres, from jazz to drag shows, and a popular locals’ open mic with Jay Bishoff.

Plus, of course, the heavy music scene.

Tickets to Deep Leach at The Presynct, Nambour, on August 30 are $25: https://events.humanitix.com.

Don’t miss Deep Leech and the region’s best in heavy local music at The Presynct on August 30.

Doors open at 7pm. This is an 18+ event.
