Open Season

Open Season is one of Brisbane’s most ambitious live music and arts programs, turning winter into a city-wide season of concerts, collaborations and cultural events across Fortitude Valley and beyond.

About Open Season

Presented by The Tivoli Group, Open Season is an annual Brisbane program that brings together music, art and contemporary cultural events across multiple venues and public spaces. What began as a response to the shutdown of the live music industry has grown into one of the city’s defining winter music programs, with performances ranging from major international names to local heroes and one-off collaborations.

Why Open Season Matters

Open Season matters because it treats Brisbane as a city of live performance rather than just a stop on a touring route. Its multi-venue format, broad programming and winter timing give Brisbane a festival feel across weeks rather than a single weekend, helping connect audiences with both headline acts and genre-defying local events.

Open Season Location

Open Season takes place across Brisbane, with events held at venues including The Tivoli, The Princess Theatre, QPAC and other spaces around the city. The 2026 edition runs from 25 May to 25 July and features more than 100 artists and special events across 10-plus venues
