Gympie metalcore heavyweights team up with REDHOOK for a massive Coolum gig.
Black Flag Brewing in Coolum has dropped a huge announcement for Sunshine Coast live music fans — The Amity Affliction will play an exclusive show on February 13, joined by alt-rock heavy-hitters REDHOOK.
The gig was due to be held at The Station, which announced its sudden closure earlier this month, leaving organisers scrambling to find new arrangements.
It’s a standout booking for the Coolum venue and a major win for the Sunshine Coast music scene. Usually found headlining festivals and packing out major stages across the world, The Amity Affliction are bringing their powerful, emotional metalcore sound back to their home region for an intimate, up-close gig that’s guaranteed to shake the walls.
Supporting them are REDHOOK, who impressed with an their explosive set at last year’s Something Cool festival at Blackflag where they played alongside Bodyjar. Their performance instantly became one of the festival’s most talked-about moments — a total punk scene with toilet paper flying in wild loops across the stage as the band tore through their set. Pure chaos. Pure brilliance. And proof they’re one of Australia’s most electric live acts.
This Coolum date is shaping up to be one of the Sunshine Coast’s biggest heavy-music events of 2026. With Amity’s international pull and REDHOOK’s high-voltage energy, Black Flag Brewing is cementing itself as a must-hit venue for serious live music — blending the Coast’s surf-skate culture with loud, sweaty, beer-in-hand nights.
Tickets are expected to move fast. If you love Sunshine Coast live music, heavy music, The Amity Affliction, REDHOOK, or discovering festival-calibre gigs in intimate coastal venues, this is one to jump on early.
Coolum — February 13. Don’t sleep on it.
