Xavier Rudd’s boys have teamed up for a free show at Burleigh

November 20, 20231 min read

Burleigh Heads: The sons of Australian roots musician Xavier Rudd are putting on a night of free music at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse.

Multi-instrumentalist Joaquin Noah will play his own set, while brother Finojet will play in his surf-rock band, Calypso Cora, on December 10.

Joaquin recorded his first single in 2019, with outfit Gonzo Bloom.

His dad, the one and only Australian roots master Xavier Rudd, said at the time on social media: “Sounding deadly! Proud dad”.

As prolific and diverse as his father, Joaquin released several deep house, dance and electronic music prior to that.

And with his dad stirring up crowds into a dancing on the reg, we know where he gets that from.

But it seems this time he’s moving in the direction of Rudd senior, bringing a more acoustic set to Mo’s.

Supporting the two Rudd brothers is Birren, with some smooth R’n’B and mix of alternative rock and funky latin soul.

The free show is on December 10 at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse is at 6/36 Central Dr, Burleigh Heads.
