On their vast property, the Pease family have opened up Studio B, built by renowned builder John Sayers, which has been fitted out carefully and thoughtfully by the best in the business.
Dan worked for 11 years as a full-time engineer at the Simon Leadley Trackdown Scoring Stage, Australia’s premier purpose-built orchestral scoring stage. With his vast experience working with people from around the world, Dan was able to create his own unique way of capturing his clients’ needs.

2. Yama-Nui Recording Studios, Kiels Mountain
Yama-Nui Recording Studios comes highly-recommended by local musicians.
Featuring prominent producers and engineers – Paulie B, OJ Newcomb, and Scott Mathison – Yama-Nui offers some seriously high-quality services.
The wealth of experience and knowledge commanded by the team here is mind-blowing and they know exactly how to turn your ideas into a reality. Nestled in the hinterland, the studio is a perfect creative space filled with vintage instruments and analogue gear.
Having access to an authentic 1970s Rhodes Mk1 and 1980s Juno synthesiser makes all the difference for a pianist! Yama-Nui also has a record label under the same name.

3. Easy Tape Recording Studio, Burnside
This new boutique studio is just outside of Nambour is musician-led with the owner Phil Ballantyne a former member of Brisbane rock band Intercooler.
Recently this hidden gem held a Sofar Sounds gig, turning this recording space into a cosy intimate music venue, featuring an acoustic set with Dellacoma Rio from Dellacoma and his brother John Justus of The Justus Trio.
This place is quickly becoming a favourite for Sunshine Coast recording studios.

4. Sound Box Studios, Nambour
Sound Box is a local’s institution with professional sound engineering with more than 20 years’ experience in the game.
These guys are extremely adaptable to any genre and style, and can help you build your track from the ground up.
Even cooler, they have their on DJ school! You can learn how to curate playlists, beat-match, mix songs, and learn with pro equipment.

5. Glasshouse Studios, Glass House Mountains
Spearheaded by Angus Woodhead – a musician, engineer and producer with more than 30 years’ experience in the music industry – Glasshouse Studios offers a world-class facility.
Boasting an enviable gear list, including a Grand Piano and 1950’s Hammond Organ, the studio has ample space and is ready for even the biggest project.
Glasshouse Studios is hidden in the ridiculously quaint Glasshouse Mountains and offers producing, tracking, mixing and in-house mastering services.

6. Six String Studio, Beerwah
Owned and run by multi-instrumentalist and chief engineer Terry Jackson, Six String Studio helps bands and artists achieve their best possible sound.
Terry has spent years piecing together all the right gear and creating the perfect space for musicians in a supportive and nurturing environment.
He was destined to become the owner and operator of a recording studio, growing up in a family of musicians. His grandfather was a pedal steel player who taught Chad Morgan (a pioneer of country music) play guitar.
His father also played in a family band for many years and still collaborates with Terry in creating music. Terry’s father played a pivotal role in the establishment of Six String Studio, which has become a highly-regarded facility today.
Armed with an amazing vintage SSL desk (pictured), this recording space was created to help musicians achieve the best possible sound while immersing them in a practical, yet inspiring space.

7. JamPot Studios, Noosaville
JamPot Studios is a professional digital audio recording and rehearsal studio in Noosa, home of local rock legends such as Pricey (pictured).
Photos: Sunshine Coast recording studios allow bands and soloists like Pricey the opportunity to connect with their art.
Run by Noosa locals, it specialises in recording, mixing, production and mastering services. They can also help with voice-overs, on-hold messages, audiobooks – basically anything audio!

8. AudioOne, Diddillibah
Multi-national and international award-winning producer, musician and voice artist Brett Johnson is a specialist in audio and visual productions. Opening AudioOne (main picture) in 1996, Brett has created many award-winning music tracks, jingles and sound designs.
He’s worked for big names including; Crowded House, Julian Lennon, Jimmy Barnes, James Reyne, Wendy Matthews and The Angels. And as a musician, he’s played with Rob Thomas (Matchbox 20), Calum Scott, Missy Higgins, Amy Shark, and Jon Stevens.
Major corporate clients include Suzuki, Baskin Robbins, McDonalds, Toyota and Yamaha.

9. Tiny House Records, Maroochydore
Owned by electro-pop musician Christian Patey, Tiny House Records offers recording, producing and mixing for established and emerging artists.
During Covid, Christian and his wife converted their old double-shed into a recording studio, and have been recording and writing with artists for three years.
Christian has supported names like Boo Seeka, Thundmentals, Tash Sultana, and Tora and Noah Slee.
He has collaborated with Jimmy2sox (one half of Flight Facilities), and landed a vocal sample on Rae Sremmurd‘s album Sr3mm, alongside The Weeknd, Pharrell Williams and Travis Scott.
You can even hear his vocals on PARTYNEXTDOOR‘s album PX3, which has credits including Drake.
Christian recently teamed up with Tina Says and features on her song, “Silence”, which received a five-star review from Triple J‘s Richard Kingmill.
His latest single “Love Drunk” featuring Phoebe Rose, has been popular with his fans, and reached number six on the AMRAP Regional Charts.

10. Banana Llama Studios, Eudlo
Banana Llama Studios is owned and operated by producers and engineer Luke Garfield.
Straight out of high school, Luke studied contemporary music composition. While working on his own songs tucked away in the production studios, he fell in love with music production and audio engineering.
Since 2000, he’s been recording and producing music, including his own. For three years in 2007, he lived with his family in Nashville, where he worked with global artists and honed his skills as a recording and mixing engineer.
Here, he continues to record and produce for artists locally and internationally. In 2015, he moved into audio mixing and mastering exclusively.

13. Vibetone Recording Studio, Pomona
Situated in this beautiful hinterland town, Vibetone Recording Studio is run by engineer/producer Benjy Pocock.
Benjy is another talented local musician who plays in his band, The Vibe, which blurs the lines of traditional country, blues and southern rock.
For the first time in 15 years, his studios’ control room has had an upgrade, and now sports some new gear including a Dynaudio BM6 monitor, an Audient Zen mixing console, a BeezNeez Pro Audio microphone, and an SSL EQ 500 series ‘lunchbox’.
