90s pop sensation Rick Price is coming to Nambour

July 31, 20242 min read

You might not have heard from him in a while but Rick Price is showing no signs of slowing down.

And with almost a million monthly Spotify listeners it seems Rick’s audience isn’t going anywhere either.

The Aussie singer/songwriter has just released his 12th studio album and has a national tour, which includes a pit stop at Nambour RSL on September 13.

Known for his hits, “Heaven Knows”, “Nothing Can Stop Us Now” and “Walk Away Renee”, the boy from Beaudesert shot to fame in 1992 with “Not A Day Goes By”.

But it’s his new album “Hometown” which he is promoting on this tour, recorded in Rick’s Nashville studio and features Dennis Crouch on bass, Fred Eltringham on drums, Tom Bukovac on guitar, and Jimmy Wallace on organ.

The album – which has hints of country, pop, and rhythm and blues – takes the listener on a journey through Rick’s childhood days, growing up in country Queensland, Australia, to his present life in Tennessee.

“I love playing live and connecting with my audience,” Rick says.

“I’m so excited to be coming to Australia to share some new songs and old favourites with my friends.”

From soul-stirring ballads to smokey deep groves, Rick’s soaring vocals are both emotive and uplifting.

Better pack the Kleenex!

Rick will be performing tracks from his new album, including “You Can’t Keep A Good Man Down”, and “Let It Go”, along with all his classics.
