VERATIE release debut album IN//HUMAN ahead of Nambour launch

September 1, 20262 min read

Sunshine Coast alt-rock/nu-metal band VERATIE have released their debut album IN//HUMAN, with a hometown launch show locked in for The Presynct in Nambour this Friday, September 4.

The 10-track concept album arrived on August 28 after several years of releases from the South-East Queensland three-piece, bringing together eight previously released singles with two new tracks, Spirit Sight and Lock Away.

VERATIE formed in 2021 around singer-songwriter Sarah and guitarist/beatmaker Connor, with drummer Patrick later joining the lineup. The record was recorded, mixed and produced with James See at Airlock Studios in Brisbane and mastered by Steve Smart at Studio 301 in Sydney.

The band has built its sound around a mix of melodic and rap vocals, heavy guitars, synths and industrial textures, drawing on alt-rock and nu-metal influences. YELO has followed VERATIE since their early releases, including their 2024 debut single Ashes and more recently their place in the changing sound of the Sunshine Coast scene.

Friday’s Nambour launch will feature Brisbane alt-metal band KRAVE alongside Lattes For MILFs, Sailing In Space and Pussy Jane. Doors open from 6pm at The Presynct, with the event listed as 18+.

The Nambour show also begins a run of east-coast dates for VERATIE. The band’s current official tour listings include Banshees Bar & Art Space in Ipswich on September 11, Punk in the Moto Park at Glen Echo on September 12, Ocean View at Wamberal on September 25 and Ghoul-Stock 2026 in West End on October 31.
