Radiohead announce first Australian tour in 15 years

September 7, 20261 min read

Radiohead will return to Australia in 2027 for their first shows here in 15 years.

The British band has announced 16 Australian arena dates across Perth, Melbourne and Sydney in May and June, with a further five shows in Saitama, Japan.

No Queensland dates have been announced.

The Australian run opens at RAC Arena in Perth on May 3 before moving to Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne and Afterpay Arena in Sydney.

Radiohead Australia 2027 tour dates

Perth
May 3, 4, 6 and 7 – RAC Arena

Melbourne
May 13, 14, 16, 17, 19 and 20 – Rod Laver Arena

Sydney
May 25, 26, 28, 29 and 31, and June 1 – Afterpay Arena

Radiohead last performed in Australia in November 2012.

The shows mark the next stage of Radiohead’s gradual return to touring after the band reunited for a run of European residencies in late 2025, their first live performances since 2018.

The Australian dates are not tied to a new album, with the band’s most recent studio record still A Moon Shaped Pool, released in 2016.

Guitarist Ed O’Brien had also hinted earlier this year that Australia was in the band’s sights for 2027, with the new tour announcement now confirming that return.

Tickets will only be available to fans who register through radiohead.com with Frontier Touring, a move aimed at limiting tickets being intercepted by touts and bots.

Registration opened at 5pm AEST on Monday, September 7.

The tour follows a series of European residencies played in November and December 2025.
