Bad weather has held off for Alex Surf Club’s first-ever Bluff Fest on Saturday as 1200 punters flocked to see Australian rock legends The Grogans, The Terrys (who recently signed with surf label Billabong) and Shag Rock.

Local emerging acts Nana’s Pie, Brook Street, Emily Rink, and Karlou also helped celebrate the fun at Alexandra Headland, on the Sunshine Coast.

The event formed part of the club’s 100-year celebrations, with today’s free community event sadly cancelled due to severe weather.

Selling out in just four days, the surf-rock festival was the first of its kind for the club, with organisers hoping to hold more festivals, and potentially bigger ones.

Bluff Fest will be a vital fundraiser for the Alex Surf Club with money raised put to keeping our beaches safe.

Thanks to everyone who came to say hi to us at Yelo Mag this year, and hopefully we’ll see you at the next one. Stay yelo, Sunny Coast!
