Iconic Brisbane alt-indie band Regurgitator will bring their JUKEBOXXIN’ tour to Norton Music Factory in Caloundra on February 28.
But not before they play shows at Miami Marketta on the Gold Coast, on February 27, and the Great Northern in Byron Bay on February 26.
Regurgitator‘s Queensland run of shows also includes Cairns, Townsville, Mackay, Brisbane and Toowoomba, in April.
Supporting them at these shows will be special guest Dem Mob.
Regurgitator formed, AKA “The Gurge”, formed in 1993 as a side project to the other bands they were in. Across three decades, they have earned a reputation for their ironic take on corporate culture and their genre-bending music which fuses rock, punk, electro, funk and hip-hop.
Song like “Polyester Girl” and “Black Bugs” and “! (The Song Formerly Known As)” have become staples in Aussie backyard pool parties.
Quan, Ben, Pete, and latest key-taring member Sarah will cram as many big hits into nearly two hours of what they call “aural sugar that drips and drops”.
“55 tablatures of candy fix… punch a coin in the slot. Press play, hit repeat,” they said.
“Smack, bang up for it. Let’s arcade the fun!”
Fun fact: Did you know Powderfinger drummer Jon Coghill stepped in as drummer for the band during their tours in 1997-1998?
