Bad Weather Girls: Female-Fronted Queensland Music

Bad Weather Girls is an all-Queensland music playlist led by women.

Built for bad weather, bad moods and days that need more noise, it moves from female-fronted punk and rock to sharp indie, stormy pop and songs with bite.

Curated by YELO, the playlist features female-fronted Queensland bands and artists from across the state, including Full Flower Moon Band, WAAX and Cora.

From rough-edged guitars and restless vocals to moody hooks, heavier turns and indie songs with their teeth out, Bad Weather Girls pulls together Queensland artists who don’t clear the room politely.

It’s for sharp voices, big feelings and artists making Queensland music sound louder, darker and less predictable.

This is Bad Weather Girls by YELO.
