Elements festival brings river magic

October 8, 20234 min read

Hamilton: Move over Jesus and Lionel Richie.

A micro-festival celebrating “respect, kindness, and love” is set to descend on the Brisbane River next weekend and anticipates to have revellers dancing on the water.

(You know, as opposed to walking on water and dancing on the ceiling… erm, never mind).

Elements in the Park brings all its colour and magic to Northshore’s purpose-built riverside venue, where the festival’s famous Love Camp stage will have its most iconic setting to date – on the wharf’s pier.

Open to all ages, this high-vibe festival is a vibrant ‘kaleidoscope of community’ with visual art, circus acts, roving performances, delicious food, and wholesome workshops including ice baths, breath work and yoga, all encased by the sumptuous sounds of pumping house trance.

Elements, which is free for ages under 13, is a collaboration of the arts, with a multitude of brilliant local minds coming together to fabricate each layer of the community’s creative universe.

The festival is an imaginative force to be reckoned with and is driven by a desire for learning, growth, and world-building.

Promoters say their goal is to construct “a brand new landscape to explore” each year, filled with opportunities for communities to engage via art installations, performers and creators in a bid to form lasting connections.

There will be games to play, music to dance to, and lifelong friendships to forge.

“Music and art have a magnetic power to unite people from all walks of life,” they said.

“We’re united by our love for electronic music, discovering new genres, and growing as a tribe. In other words, you’re as important as every musician, DJ, performer, and artist because you inspire us to create Elements.

“Our vision is reflected in the diversity of our tribe and our line-up of artists. We feature musicians and creators at all stages of their careers and from various styles and genres.”

Elements Festival values every member of its tribe: from the freshest newborns right up to its elders, and everyone in between.

“We’re here for it if you need to let loose and free yourself from the stress and pressures of modern life.

“But we invite you to do so in a conscious way that sets a beautiful example for the younger Elementals you’ll be sharing space with.

“A special kind of magic blooms when people of all ages and backgrounds unite to celebrate life, art, and music.

“All are welcome in our world, with the only requirement being to treat fellow ‘Elementals’ with respect, kindness, and love.”

With fun tunes from dance groovesters, Moodswing & Chevy Bass, plus a host of more, don’t miss your opportunity to be part of this epic Brisbane festival – and maybe some dancing on the river!

Elements in the Park is on Saturday, October 14, from 10am-6pm, at Maritime Green Hangar, Dock C, Bincote St, Hamilton, Brisbane.
