Human Dinosaur Machine are coming to Mo’s Desert Clubhouse

March 9, 20242 min read

Human Dinosaur Machine (HDM) will put on a punk show at Mo’s Desert Clubhouse, Burleigh Heads, on March 28. This is a sponsored post.

Another four piece pop-punk band from the Northern Rivers… big-woo right?

Seriously though, Human Dinosaur Machine (HDM) will bury its hooks into you!

This vocally raw outfit places truth beside humour and pain, and supports intricate rhythms and wondrous melodies that will completely envelop you.

HDM’s birth in 2015 was the result of some social refuge during a house party in Lismore between two strangers and an acoustic guitar.

What started out as an awkward, intimate jam, blossomed into four close friends making music together.

The group’s writing motivation can be described as a brutally honest look at the human brain, with music and lyrics strongly reflecting all the fun highs and crushing lows that come with the package.

In 2020, their single, “Diary of Broken Bones” scored a spin on Triple J’s Short.Fast. Loud segment, and their song, “Spaghetti”, reached number five in AMRAP’s regional community radio charts.

HDM put some weight behind two self-released singles, “Ventilator” and “Trash” late last year, before dropping their long awaited debut LP in February.

There’s still so much more to come from HDM so stay tuned.

“HDM are like caged tigers with broken teeth – too wild, too angry, too loud, too BIG! to be boxed into a recording studio. See ‘em live!! See ‘em soon!!” – Rob Hirst, Midnight Oil
