If it hasn’t been a “green day” it will be now with international punk superstars Green Day announcing they will tour Australian in 2025.

The band from San Fransisco will bring their global stadium Saviors tour to the Gold Coast, Sydney and Melbourne in March.

Named after the band’s 14th studio album – released in January – the tour will see Green Day play their biggest albums, “Dookie” and “American Idiot”, in full.

The band’s 1994 “Dookie” record is celebrating its 30th year, while their 2004 “American Idiot” album is enjoying its 20th anniversary.

Green Day will also play tracks from their “Saviors” album, and cuts from their vast collection of hits.

Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool will also share their stage with Californian rockers AFI, known for their song “Miss Murder”.

The phrase “green day” is Bay Area slag for not doing much other than smoking marijuana.
