TISM — currently answering to TSIM, because apparently the letters are part of the joke — have denied responsibility for Sydney Opera House damage ahead of their No Mistakes tour.
The band, usually known as TISM when the letters are behaving, released the statement on Wednesday, May 20.
In the statement, TSIM said they “strenuously deny responsibility” for any damage to the Sydney Opera House after their shows on April 10 and April 12.
They did not identify the culprit.
They did, however, note that on April 11, Sir Donald Runnicles led the Sydney Symphony Orchestra in a performance of Mahler’s Sixth Symphony in the Concert Hall.
The work famously features the dramatic “hammer blows of fate”.
Enough said, apparently.
TSIM bring No Mistakes to Brisbane
The statement arrives ahead of TSIM’s upcoming No Mistakes tour, which includes a Brisbane show at The Fortitude Music Hall on October 17.
The run also includes dates at Adelaide Beer & BBQ Festival, Darwin Festival, Forum Melbourne, Canberra Theatre, Metro City in Perth and Enmore Theatre in Sydney.
Early bird pre-sale tickets go on sale at 11am AEST on May 22.
General tickets go on sale at 11am AEST on May 25.
It is the kind of announcement that makes spelling the band’s name feel less like a typo and more like a trap.
